In autumn, after the grape harvest, South Tyrol celebrates with Törggelen: chestnuts, new wine and farmhouse dishes. At Da Candido, among the vineyards of the Unterland.
What Törggelen is
An autumn farming tradition: tasting the new wine with roast chestnuts, speck, dumplings, sauerkraut and ribs, finishing with krapfen. The name comes from the "Torggl", the wine press.
When
From late September to late November. Groups, please call early: Törggelen evenings are the most popular of the year.
